Candice was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is determined to teach everyone the proper pronunciation of ukulele. Since leaving the islands, she attended Syracuse University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre. While at school, she also wrote a musical adaptation of Ruth Ozeki’s novel “A Tale for the Time Being,” with the Young Research Fellows Program, and was one of 12 Department of Visual and Performing Arts Scholars. Since graduating in 2021, Candice has worked at regional theaters throughout the country. Some favorites include: “Sally Bowles” in Cabaret at the Hangar Theater, “Irene Roth” in Crazy for You at Asolo Repertory Theater, and Catch Me If You Can at Arena Stage. In December 2022 she made her Broadway debut as “Bubbles/Ensemble” in the revival of Funny Girl, starring Lea Michelle. In her free time, Candice can be found writing, reading, doodling, cooking, and saving up to expand her small collection of Dr. Martens.
