Jacklyn Klimczak, a teaching artist from Chicago, is a versatile musician with a rich educational background. She holds a Dual Degree Masters in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from New York University and a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Now based in NYC, she maintains a private voice studio, and teaches professionally at various institutions, including a past adjunct faculty role at NYU while working towards her masters. As a cross-over specialist, Jacklyn’s performance experience spans opera, musical theatre, pop, choir, and folk. She is committed to guiding her singers in achieving a harmonious blend of artistry, technical prowess, and vocal health across all genres.
Jacklyn’s training has been greatly influenced by acclaimed American Soprano, Harolyn Blackwell. Her resume includes performances such as Mrs. Halloran/Pasha in “A Catered Affair” at NYU Steinhardt, meeting with John Bucchino and Harvey Fierstein, being a featured soloist with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, and starring in Side by Side by Sondheim, a regionally recognized production with FourStarArts in Chicago. Other performance highlights include, Susanna, Le Nozze di Figaro, Amy, Company, Blanche de la Force, Dialogue of the Carmelites and Cinderella, Into the Woods.
