Katie has been coaching with MTCA since 2013, and has been a Teaching Artist with the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival’s Education Program since 2004. Originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, she received her BM in Musical Theatre from Catholic University, then attended the two year conservatory program in Acting at Circle In the Square Theatre School. She lives in NYC with her husband and fellow MTCA coach Ryan, and their daughter Zoë. As an actor, Katie has appeared in 10 seasons with HVSF, where favorite roles include Viola (Twelfth Night), Imogen (Cymbeline), Lucrece (The Liar), Rosaline (Love’s Labours Lost), and Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). She played Olivia (Twelfth Night), Lord Capulet and Lady Macbeth (Youth & Ambition), and Leena Breitwisch in the world premier of Breitwisch Farm with Esperance Theater Company, where she is also a co-founder. Off-Broadway: Bedlam. Other select theater: A.R.T., Virginia Stage, Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, Cape Playhouse, Half Moon Theater, Arc Stages, Portland Stage, Shadowland, Epic Theatre Ensemble. She feels incredibly fortunate to be a mom, artist and teacher.
